Most of the cost imo is just the cost of running an LLM (i.e. if you built your own IDE on the APIs directly it will cost a similar amount). So to me it's definitely worth it and I even pay for both a personal account and a work account.
That being said Gemini has really stepped up in the last few weeks so I could see a world where if that becomes the primary flagship coding model at it's current costs, Cursor should reduce prices.
