The result I keep coming back to is not the five accounts.

It is the line about the messages that kept arriving after you turned the GPUs off, because some agents had scheduled them with a delay.

That is a different failure mode from everything else in the post.

The rest is a capability question, and capability gets cheaper over time, which is your point.

This one is a control question.

The compute was the part you owned, and stopping it did not stop the operation, because the action had already been handed to surfaces you were not paying for.

Your own note that they leaned on free email and static hosting over the Railway keys you gave them is the same observation from the other side.

A kill switch that only reaches the inference is not a kill switch.

It also changes what a defender can rely on. You could read the logs because you were the one running the agents.

Anyone on the receiving end of somebody else's swarm has only what their own systems happened to record, and by the time a delayed message lands there may be no infrastructure left anywhere to point at.

Which makes the $40 per account worth a second look. It prices the only part of the attack that had a price, and that part is also the only part you were able to switch off.
